The Difference Between the Two Mounting Bases

The Magnetic Base for Ferrous Surfaces (Steel, Iron)

Features:

  1. A slider switch to turn the high-strength neodymium magnets ON/OFF
  2. A super-sticky polyurethane pad area for extra holding power
  3. Multi-tooth lock tabs to firmly hold the Sensor Head
  4. A polymer cover to protect the sticky PU base from dust and dirt

The Super-Sticky PU Base for Non-Ferrous Surfaces

(Aluminum, Plastics, Fiberglass & Glass)

Features:

  1. Pull-out lever removal handle to aid in easy base removal
  2. Large super-sticky polyurethane pad for extra holding power
  3. Multi-tooth lock tabs to firmly hold the Sensor Head
  4. A polymer cover to protect the sticky PU base from dust and dirt

Holding Power

  • The Sensor Head weighs 332 grams (0.3 kg./0.5 lb.)
  • Each of the bases has a holding power that exceeds 10 kg./ 22 lb.)
  • That means that the holding power of the base units is equivalent to 40 times the weight of the Sensor Head
